Preparation and Care Instructions:
Unpack and remove packaging:
Remove the baby’s breath from the box immediately upon arrival. Take off all sleeves, paper, or cardboard wraps. Proper airflow is essential for the flowers to open.
Loosen the bunches:
Turn the bunch upside down and gently twist and shake to release compression. If a clear sleeve is available, place the flowers inside first before loosening.
Separate the stems carefully:
While still holding the stems upside down, grab a few stems at a time and gently pull them apart. Avoid aggressive separation to prevent breaking branches.
Trim the stems:
Cut 1–2 inches off the stems using sharp scissors or a knife.
Place in water:
Immediately place the stems into a clean bucket filled with cool to lukewarm water. Add floral food if provided.
Hydration:
The baby’s breath will begin opening within a few hours and is usually ready to use the same day.
Optional – fuller opening:
For a more airy, open look, loosely cover the bucket with a clear plastic bag and leave overnight in a cool area.
Ready to design:
Once hydrated and open, the flowers are ready for bouquets, centerpieces, installations, and large-scale designs.
Daily care:
Keep stems in clean water and change the water every two days. Baby’s breath performs very well in water alone.
Optional – floral foam:
Baby’s breath can be inserted into fully saturated floral foam. Insert stems deeply and keep the foam consistently wet.
